***************

So... yep. Not bad. Not as good as the 342 on Monday afternoon, but that's ok. I know I did a good job of being on top of exercise and eating well last week, so I'm ok with only losing 2 pounds.

In other news... I am pretty sure I have a stress fracture in my foot. Not positive, but I have an appointment scheduled for next Monday. I noticed it after played DDR, in that it was aching a bit. Then yesterday I realized that if I put pressure on it a certain way it spiked pain up to my ankle. This morning I realized that it just... hurt. Incessantly. Also, my lower back is KILLING me and I can't figure out why, only that it started hurting after bowling. Really, how pathetic is that? I'm merely 26! I shouldn't be in pain from bowling at this wee age!

I'm not upset, but I am a little frettish (yes, I made that up) because if I have a stress fracture the only way to heal it is rest. And the only way I can exercise with any consistency is to either do DDR or walk. So... I suppose I'll just have to wait and see.

I want to have grandiose things to say to you all, but, alas, I do not. Tragically. I hope you all are having lovely days, and I am uber grateful for your continued support :)

4 battle cries

I went bowling this last weekend as well - for the first time in several years. My lower back hurt, too. I knew part of it was because my muscles were tired from a strength workout earlier that day, but I think it's also just because those muscles don't get used in that particular way in everyday life.

I've actually been struggling with lower back pain a lot lately... ice is my best friend! I try to remember to ice it every time I do any kind of core work... after exercising them, they are fatigued and it's really easy to strain them with everyday chores like laundry or loading the dishwasher (from personal experience). It's also kind of a catch-22 because as they get stronger, you have to work them harder but then they are more fatigued and vulnerable afterwards! I count it as a blessing in disguise that it forces me to pay more attention to my body and how I'm using it, but it is a pain (a pun! and I didn't even mean too!)

Congrats on the 2 pounds down - that's fantastic.

I hope it's not a stress fracture. Do you have access to an exercise bike, or a regular bicycle? That would allow you to exercise without having to put all your weight on your foot. Maybe you could also do some hand weights?

Just a suggestion. Hopefully you'll be good to do your regular routine very soon.

Great job on your weight and BMI loss to date.

Do you have access to a pool? Great way to get cardio and core workout. I have 2 articles from In Style that I want to send you too, with at-home workouts that I've been doing while watching TV, but I haven't had a chance to scan them yet. Will do asap. Loves!
