i don't know if i'll be able to go, but there is a guest speaker coming to campus and you might want to look up her work. Her name is Dr. Helene Shugart and her current research is titled "Big Issues: Public Discourses about Obesity." I think it would be really interesting to examine how we publicly talk about obesity, what words we use, what metaphors, what contexts, and then to analyze and critique it all. So, yeah. Maybe you want to read some of her stuff. She is a prof in the Communication Department at the University of Utah.
