I'm pondering a longer post, but for now I'll keep it short and sweet... rare for me, yah?
Today was an adventure. Jas had a meeting with a guy after church because he's a new member of the TRT (Theology Response Team). Basically, people can send questions to the church and a small group of people who are big into God's word (re: big book nerds) spend hours studying out what the Bible says regarding the person's question and respond to them. Jas has a huge Bible, big fat concordances, Vine's dictionary (specifically regarding Bible terms), the monstrous Systematic Theology book by Wayne Grudem, various pieces of literature our church and/or Pastor Mark (Driscoll) have published... it's nuts. I'm happy for him, though... it's right up his alley. His dream is to study the Bible all day and then write about what he finds.
Anyway, so Pastor Mark preached longer than normal (I love it when he does that! No, really- I'm sarcastic about loving snow but not about preaching- I loves me some solid teaching from God's word!), then we met with Mike, then we had to go to Costco because the computer monitor was dead this morning, then we had to go to TJ's (Trader Joe's) to get the weekly groceries, then home to cook super fast, then Jas ran off to a shift at his second job (for supplemental income in these newly married months... we just married last September). Then I did my laundry, cleaned the living room (it was horrible) and kitchen, made J's lunches for the next week, did a Bible study, did some plucking (my 100 pound weight loss reward is going to be electrolysis on my upper lip. Fricking femoustache, anyway), made dinner, downloaded gobs of drivers (or 2) to get the new monitor working... ugh.
Whew! Just writing it all in succession was tiresome. Needless to say, I didn't work out, but I also didn't stop moving pretty much all day, so it was good enough for me.
I'm worried about the weigh-in Wednesday because I'm scheduled for that lovely monthly happening on Tuesday, and blech. But today I put on pants I haven't worn in 6 months due to feeling too fat, and they fit, so that's happy.
Also, can I just say that while our new "Super HD Widescreen" LCD monitor is lovely, I really had no problem with my little 15" Dell LCD that came with the computer? I was certainly happy not spending $200 the entire time it was there for me every day. I guess that's just how life works. Normally I am so excited to get new toys, but for once I was actually not looking forward to the "better" thing... I just wished what I had everyday was still sufficient.
This is possibly my worst entry ever. So random, so not about weight. If you are reading this still and haven't punched yourself in the face as something more fun to do then you are truly a loyal reader.
Anyway, I'm processing things regarding my next post, which is likely why this one ended up being daily life vomit.
On that note, I'm going to bed. Try not to be too harsh (or insincere if you're nice) in your comments ;)
