You MUST Be Kidding Me.

Posted by Tami in

I now know that God completely loves me and looks out for me.  In June the husband and I moved from Bothell (aka Seattle suburbia... aka barfalicious) into Seattle proper.  I got an e-mail from Red Robin (if you are on their mailing list you get free birthday burgers) and I realized that I have no idea where the closest one is; only Seattle location I'm aware of is downtown on the water of the Sound.

I decided to go and do a search at the website and was perusing the "Coming Soon" list to see if any are opening in Washington (I'm totally a WA-centric girl... I think anything and everything revolves my beloved favorite state in the Union) and about choked when I saw that one is opening in Bothell.  And not somewhere random within the huge land area that is considered Bothell (most of unincorporated north King county on that side of the Lake (Lake Washington) is called Bothell, and it's a pretty big area) but literally a 2 minute walk from where I used to live.  As in go out front door, walk for a minute or so, wait for light at highway to cross street, and then walk for another minute or so, and there you go- Red Robin.

I know it's unhealthy, but I love Red Robin.  We never go there, due to the unhealthy aspect, but a few times a year it's a nice treat.  Were I to live so close that it is faster to walk than to drive I think I would gain about 50 pounds in 2 months (not exaggerating- I've done it before, sadly).  So it is rather gracious of God to have had me move before this bastion of fat and calories is built.  Nuts.

And seriously- look at this map (I lived in the apartments, in the building closest to the street, just under where it says "214th" St; you can't actually enter the address because it's within an apt complex and apparently Google doesn't think that counts) --

2 battle cries

There are Red Robins at the Northgate Mall and on Eastlake.

Yeah, there's also one really close (like 1.5 miles away) in the U-District so maybe we'll go there sometime :)
