Ok, I know I didn't get you all an update yesterday- I was RIDICULOUSLY busy. A coworker who is literally the most productive woman I have ever met is in the hospital unexpectedly (she's ok; just an uber bad case of the flu) and I am covering for her. I only know how to do about half of her job and things are just crazy busy.
That said, I want to get you something! So... this weekend I did not do push-ups. I tried to do one but it literally hurts. I am working on listening to my body and discerning between pain from burning (ie WORKING) muscles and pain from putting undue and unhealthy strain on my body. Push-ups = massive strain.
That said, I do have 5 lb weights, so I worked out my arms for about a half an hour on Saturday with those, and then sweat poured from my beaten body while I played about 45 minutes of DDR. I did a little core stuffs, but I really need to get with Kei when we have our session tomorrow so I can figure out some good core exercises that will work for my currently big body.
We worked out last night even though I really didn't want to, and yesterday I kicked my (lazy) arse into gear and started doing a better job of logging in my food intake. That was good. If I miss one day then I get overwhelmed by the amount of work I have to do and then just don't do it. Thus, I didn't log my food all weekend, which is so lame.
I have noticed an issue, though: I am having trouble eating too many calories per day on the weekends and not enough calories per day on the weekdays. I felt like I ate a TON yesterday (all healthy stuffs, so you know) and I only ate like 2,100 calories. I had fresh fruit, whole grains, fresh veggies, the world's greatest dressing (Trader Joe's Spicy Peanut Thai Style Vinaigrette) , walnuts, measured amounts of cottage cheese (I eat WAY too much if I don't measure), and the world's GREATEST sandwich- a whole wheat pita with hummus, 1 slice of turkey per half, red onion, avocado, and spinach. So. Freaking. Good. So, suffice it to say, my weekdays are healthy.
Weekends... are not. Saturday I didn't eat much, but breakfast was huge (2 eggs, 3 pieces of turkey sausage, 1 full waffle, milk) and dinner was huge (TGI Friday's- I had an appetizer, an entree, and a cupcake for dessert). I ate probably upwards of 3,200 calories that day, which really isn't the smartest thing I have ever done. To be fair, we try to only eat out on date night once a month, and we had a good talk afterward about the fact that we ate too much food, so we have to stick to some rules- appetizer = share an entree. We usually don't get dessert, but we had just seen the chocolate cupcakes on the Food Network and blah blah blah.
Anyway, I have so much to do still so I have to get back on it! Tomorrow is weigh-in Wednesday... we'll see how much of my French onion soup from Saturday night went straight to my thighs!
